Barrenjoey head, from the air
This is the first in an ongoing "Photo of the Day" series that I am running. The first collection of photos will be taken from a couple of helicopter flights that I went on earlier this year, the first of which took us over the Northern Beaches of Sydney. This photo was taken at the furthest point of our trip, rounding Barrenjoey head before heading back to Bankstown Airport via Sydney Harbour.
The Barrenjoey Lighthouse was constructed on the headland (which is part of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park) in 1881, and is accessible from Palm Beach via a walking track.
Prints, cards and posters of this image are now available.
