Landscape near Silver Peak Mine, Yerranderie

Dubbed "The Nearest Wilderness to Sydney", Yerranderie is a unique and isolated slice of history, nestled in the Blue Mountains. Surrounded by old silver mines, it is accessible by car (weather permitting), 4WD or by air (if you're lucky ;) ). This photo was taken near Silver Peak mine, with Yerranderie Peak in the background (if I'm not mistaken). A modest entrance fee offers visitors access to Yerranderie "private town" and surrounds.
